Our Journey

From Dreams Beneficiaries to Community Leaders

A powerful transformation story of young women who turned their experiences into a force for community empowerment

Dreams Redefined CBO represents more than just an organization—it's a testament to the transformative power of empowerment. Founded in January 2017 by young women who were themselves beneficiaries of the DREAMS project, our journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: to extend the life-changing impact we experienced to other girls and young women in our community.

We didn't just receive empowerment—we became empowerment. Our founders transformed from beneficiaries to leaders, creating a sustainable platform that continues to uplift and transform lives across Kisumu County.

What started as Dreams Girl Youth Group (DGYG) has evolved into a legally registered Community Based Organization, officially recognized on March 25, 2024. This evolution reflects our growth, impact, and unwavering commitment to creating lasting change in our communities.
