Dreams Redefined Community Based Organization (CBO), formerly known as Dreams Girl Youth Group (DGYG), is a women-led and women's rights organization based in Kisumu County, Kenya. Founded in 2017 by young women with lived experience of structural inequality in underserved communities, the organization was established to confront the "Triple Threat" of new HIV infections, teenage pregnancies, and gender-based violence affecting adolescent girls and young women.
Recognizing poverty and economic vulnerability as key root causes, Dreams Redefined CBO transitioned from a savings and loaning initiative in 2024 into a registered Community Based Organization to design and implement integrated, community-led solutions.
We advance socio-economic empowerment, sexual and reproductive health and rights, social protection for women and girls, climate resilience and adaptation, and meaningful gender-responsive youth participation in leadership, governance and decision-making processes across urban and rural Kisumu County.
